Three Great Wildflower Date Ideas!

1. Go for a stroll on your home farm, or around the neighborhood, or in a state park. Be sure to stop and smell the wildflowers! Stop at a coffee shop and get a treat!

Conversation starters: a. Where was your favorite childhood spot in nature? b. What are your favorite plants/flowers? c. What is the next gift you would like me to give you for your birthday, anniversary, holiday, special occasion? d. Is there anything we could plant in our yard to bring us both enjoyment or food? e. Pray and declare that your marriage and home will be all that God intended for it to be and for God's purposes in your life, marriage, family and home will be completely fulfilled.

2. Go for a drive to the hometowns you grew up in. Show each other the sights and the locations of important events in your lives. Play your favorite music from that era in the vehicle.

Conversation starters: a. Where did you have your first kiss and with whom? What were the circumstances? b. Where did your parents take you frequently as a child? c. Did your grandparents take you anywhere? Where and why? c. Talk about some shaping points in your history: for example, how you decided to move from that location and why. Or how you decided on your vocation. d. Talk about the friendships you had as a child and how they affected you at the time. Are they still in your life? Would you like to visit or talk with anyone now to catch up, thank them, and let them know they have been an important part of your life? e. Pray for the people in your past, for God to bless them with revelation knowledge of him. Forgive anyone in your past that you are holding a grudge against. Pray for them also and share your prayers and thoughts.

3. Pick a town neither of you have been to. Walk along Main Street and window shop. Tell your spouse you will buy them anything they want for $20 or x amount and let them choose. Visit a restaurant there and order something you have never eaten. Order something else you both love to eat and share both meals.

Conversation starters: a. What was your favorite store and items? b. If you could purchase anything you saw there, what would it be and why? c. What important milestones or holidays are coming up soon, and how would you like to spend them and with whom? Make private and separate lists at first, then share your ideas and decide on the next few occasions' activities. d. Pray for your family members out loud. Perhaps keep a prayer notebook to record prayers and answers to prayers as they are answered.
