About L.J. BRANDT

L.J. Brandt shares her story of growing up in rural America in a closed religious circle and a small town of about 600 people in her first memoir. And throughout her other writings, you can feel the atmospherical presence of her unique upbringing. 

Sharing her spark, motivating you to live your best life and to find healing through divine connection is part of what makes her unique. How did you meet God?

When I was six years old, I dreamed I was talking to Jesus on a sandy cliff. He told me he had to go talk to others. I woke up, afraid, because I knew "My Spirit shall not always strive with man." I didn't want him to leave me alone. I saw a picture in my head of Jesus dying on the cross, and I knew that he died to take away my sins. And I knew that I was saved, born again, redeemed forever.

Why do you write?
  • God created me to write, God writes and has books in heaven, God is writing a story of my life, your life, and the whole cosmos
  • To express my feelings and discover my thoughts more fully
  • To share myself and my life with people for their encouragement
  • To capture the truths God has taught me and offer them to others
  • To create experiences for others to find

What are some of your favorites?
  • Love making music!! I am a singer-songwriter and play guitar, flute and a little keyboard.
  • Love writing poetry!
  • Love sharing my experiences and writing books.
  • Love to pray- find my prayer books on Amazon.
  • Love teaching children!
  • Love organizing and creating Homes.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

I like to sew! You might find some of my homespun baby quilts and kitchen aprons in "Wildflower Gear."  

I like to read stories about people and the fascinating history of various cultures.

I like to bake and create recipes (that I sometimes try to remember!) lol!

I like to teach children because they are full of wonder.
